All three cars of the company's new 90 series have been confirmed to be launched in the U.S. market.

The Volvo S90 is already available to order and is now reaching the dealerships in the country. It's available in two trim levels – Momentum and Inscription. Power options include T5 gasoline and T6 gasoline, with the latter being available only in the Momentum grade.

The T5 gasoline engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit that makes 250 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. The T6 gasoline engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that develops 316 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. Both T5 and T6 engine models feature the 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission as standard, but the latter also has an all-wheel drive system.

In the USA, the S90 T5 Momentum, S90 T5 Inscription and S90 T6 Momentum are priced at $46,950 (INR 31,22,879.25), $50,450 (INR 33,55,681.75)and $52,950 (INR 35,21,969.25) respectively.

The Volvo V90 and V90 Cross Country will launch in the U.S. market sometime in 2017. Also planned next year, is reportedly the S90L, the long-wheelbase version of the S90 sedan that will premiere on the Chinese market this year. Like the Volvo S60L (S60 T5 Inscription), the S90L will be sourced from China.
