Tesla Video Shows Model S Swimming Through Flooded Tunnel
Earlier this spring, Tesla Motors put out an ad saying its air-filter system can put the company's electric vehicles into 'bioweapon defense mode.'

Now, some Model S owner in Kazakhstan has appeared to put his sedan into "boat mode," according to Electrek.

Courtesy of a 45-second video, a Model S is shown deftly making its way through a flooded tunnel. And by the looks of the rear-view camera, that water easily covered the car's battery pack that's built into the bottom of the chassis. And until we hear further, we'll assume those seals held up pretty well.

The video appears to offer a rebuke to the theory that electric-drive vehicles can be more easily damaged by water than conventional, gas-powered vehicles. Tesla chief (and Twitter fiend) Elon Musk, weighed in, of course, tweeting on Sunday: "We *def* don't recommended this, but Model S floats well enough to turn it into a boat for short periods of time".
