Seat will design the new SUV in Barcelona, Spain and have it manufactured in Germany.
Along with the announcement, Seat released teasers which show the mid-size SUV’s sculpted hood, LED light guides of the headlamps at the front, roof rails on the sides and LED cluster of the tail lamps at the rear. The company could offer the large SUV with 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol, 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engines in varying outputs.
Before the Seat mid-size SUV arrives next year, Seat will launch the Arona this year. The company will manufacture the Seat Ibiza-based SUV in Martorell, Spain, and begin marketing it in the second half of 2017.
