Officer hit by car in clash with Yitzhar area settlers
The officer was lightly injured and treated on the scene, not requiring further medical attention.

Border police officers arrested two residents of the illegal Kumi Ori outpost after clashes with the residents Tuesday, said a police spokesperson. The two are suspected of obstructing officers and one was arrested for hitting an officer with his car, lightly injuring him.

Officers were enforcing a closed military land order on the Yitzhar area outpost when a man attempted to pass a police barricade in a vehicle. Police gestured for the car to stop, but the driver ignored them, attempting to pass them and hitting an officer with his car in the process, said the spokesperson.

The officer was lightly injured and treated on the scene, not requiring further medical attention.

Police also reported that the officer documenting the incident was attacked and injured by a suspect while attempting to stop him.

After the man was detained, dozens of people blocked roads and threw rocks at police vehicles in an attempt to stop officers from taking the suspect in for questioning. During the incident, another man was arrested as he blocked a police vehicle with his body.
