No more free charging for Tesla owners in Israel
Nearly three weeks after Tesla first provided its customers in Israel with free charging following the attack by Hamas terrorists on Israeli citizens, Tesla customers have reported that the benefit is no longer valid.

On October 12, Tesla announced to its customers in Israel that it is opening its network of fast chargers (superchargers) throughout the country for free use. Tesla increased its efforts, even handling inquiries from customers who were charged by mistake and credited their accounts.

In a message from three weeks ago, after the attack by Hamas terrorists on Israeli citizens, Tesla stated that charging would be free of charge 'until further notice.' However, the notice of the end of the benefit was not given, and the benefit ended anyway. Tesla chose not to respond to Calcalist's inquiry on the subject.

Tesla has about 20 fast charging complexes in Israel, all with the possibility of charging at least six cars at the same time, at a relatively fast rate of 250 kilowatts. There are about 17,000 Tesla cars in Israel and Tesla's Israel-based charging stations are still open only to owners of cars manufactured by the company. In Europe and the U.S. it has begun to open them to other electric cars as well.
