At the Auto Shanghai 2017 today, Hyundai unveiled the all-new Hyundai ix35 to replace the older model that continued to sell in China.
The all-new Hyundai ix35 is exclusive to the Chinese market. The new generation Hyundai ix35 measures 4,435 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,670 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,640 mm. The redesigned model is 15 mm longer, 30 mm wider and 20 mm taller, but has the same wheelbase as the previous generation model.
The all-new Hyundai ix35 has a more mature and sophisticated look than the outgoing model, and it incorporates the company's latest signature design elements, including the Cascading grille, but odd proportions and don't make it look as appealing as the latest Hyundai Tucson. The company is yet to reveal the all-new model's interior.
Hyundai will offer the new generation Hyundai ix35 with 1.4-litre T-GDI petrol and 2.0-litre petrol engine options. Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The all-new Hyundai ix35 should slot between the Hyundai ix25 and Hyundai Tucson.
