Land Rover Range Rover SV Coupe's Stylish Cabin Teased
Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations will build just 999 of them.

Recent spy photos reveal that Land Rover has a two-door Range Rover under development, and now the company's first official teaser of the new Range Rover SV Coupe unveils its luxurious cabin. The high-end SUV will debut in full at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Land Rover's teaser image reveals that the Range Rover SV Coupe should be a nice place to take a ride. The front passengers sit in white, diamond-quilted leather seats, and the material covers the dashboard, too. The folks in the rear get matching chairs in a shade of very dark navy blue. A wood-covered center console runs the entire length of the cabin and metallic trim gives it an appearance like high-end furniture.

The company doesn't reveal the exterior yet, but spy photos (gallery below) provide a great hint of what to expect. The front end features slight revisions over the four-door Range Rover, like new headlights and updated sculpting for the grille. In profile, the wheelbase is visibly shorter than the existing Rangie, and the camouflage evident in the spy photos suggests a steeper rake for the glass in the hatchback.

Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations will build each Range Rover SV Coupe by hand, and the division will only produce 999 of them. The company will over the posh SUV coupe worldwide.

Previous rumors indicate that the Range Rover SV Coupe could occupy a spot around the very top of the company's range. The combination of exclusivity and high-end finishes could push the price as high as 200,000 pounds ($280,000 at current exchange rates).

A new, two-door Range Rover marks a return to form for the venerable model. From 1970 to 1981, the SUV was only available as a coupe, and it remained as an option for years afterward.
