An ambulance driver from central Israel was arrested on Friday after allegedly pulling money out of a dead woman's purse.
Police officers from the Givatayim station were called to the house on Friday after being reported about the death of a woman who lived there by herself. While making the arrangements regarding the transferal of the body, one of the officers noticed that the ambulance driver was taking hundreds of shekels out of the woman's purse, and then putting them in his pocket.
The 45-year-old, who works for a private ambulance company, was immediately arrested and brought to questioning. Police is expected to request the court for his detainment.
