Watch what happens when terror truck meets security barricade

Al Qaida and ISIS both have both encouraged the tactic, with Al Qaida's hideously-named magazine "Inspire" designating a truck as the "Ultimate Mowing Machine" - "not to mow grass but mow down the enemies of Allah." And yes, this form of attack is particularly terrifying, deadly and maiming - consider the 84 people killed and the more than 200 wounded in Nice.

In response, governments and police agencies around the planet have been erecting truck barricades in places vulnerable to attack. Many, according to this report, aren't strong enough to stop larger trucks.

But this week, this video surfaced showing a barrier that would appear get the job done.

Apparently the barricade was more effective than the testers had expected, as they used a real driver in the test, and he was seriously injured. If you continue to watch the video, a huge number of first responders gather to extricate him from the truck, and he was airlifted to a hospital.

Here's hoping for a quick recovery for that driver, but a much worse outcome for any terrorist.
