R.M Design has come out with a rendering of the SUV, basing its version on the 2016 VW Tiguan.
The Snowman will be based on Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform and will be positioned above the Yeti. The rendering shows a butch-looking vehicle with previous reports claiming its length to be at 4,700 mm.
The face gets the distinctive Skoda grille flanked by angular headlamps with projector units, fog lamps mounted low on the bumper and a skid plate, closely resembling that of the Superb Combi. The sides in this picture, have been given muscular arches and big wheels as well as a striking shoulder line connecting the head to the tail lamps. The rear is endowed with angular tail lights, roof spoiler, dual tailpipes and silver-finished skid plates by the rendering artist.
The technical details are not yet known, but the large Skoda is expected to get a wide range of petrol and diesel engines with mostly those found in the Octavia and Superb sedans, which include the 2.0-liter TDI and 1.8-liter TSI engines, paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG.
