The company is calling the new variant of the van a "Motel on Wheels" as it features modifications suitable for camping and overnight weekend trips.
The cabin of the Opel Vivaro Life features standard swivelling individual seats in the second row and a moveable, rail mounted third-row seats. The last bench can convert into a bed offering sleeping space for two. The van can be specced with options including extra-dark tinted windows and a folding table between the second and third rows along with an auxiliary heater.
Interior features also include LED overhead lighting. Present in the passenger space is two USB charging ports and a 220-volt plug for laptops and other mobile devices. Other standard features include automatic climate control, Park Assist along six-way adjustable front seats with armrests, lumbar support, and side airbags.
The optional Navi 80 IntelliLink infotainment system provides the driver with real time traffic information. A 7-inch touchscreen acts as the interface for the infotainment system, which also supports voice control.
Cosmetic enhancements made to the Opel Vivaro Life include gloss black door and tail gate handles as well as gloss black ORVM casings. Buyers can also opt for extra-dark tinted windows behind the B-pillar and dual tone 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
In Germany, Opel offers the Vivaro with a choice of naturally aspirated and twin turbocharged 1.6 L diesel engines. The former has a power and torque output of 95 PS and 260 Nm. The latter is available in two states of tune producing either 125 PS and 320 Nm or 145 PS and 340 Nm.
