LEAKED: Genesis GV90 Will Arrive With a Limo-Style Coach-Door Version
Internal leaks suggest the Genesis GV90 will come in two body styles, including a stretched coach-door model that resembles a modern electric limo.

A Flagship With Two Personalities
Genesis is preparing the GV90 as its biggest and most ambitious SUV, and it’s shaping up to be the model that showcases everything the brand can do in the electric space. Spy shots over the past year already revealed the SUV’s tall stance and dramatic rear-hinged doors, but new leaked presentation images shared by ShortsCar add a more intriguing twist.

According to the internal slides, the GV90 may arrive in two configurations. The first is the expected version with traditional doors, positioned as the mainstream luxury choice for buyers wanting a large EV from the brand. The second appears to be a stretched model equipped with rear coach doors and a pillar-less opening, a layout more reminiscent of a chauffeur-focused limousine than a family SUV.

What the Details Suggest
The internal presentation lines up with what has already been seen in development mules. The coach-door GV90 uses rear-hinged doors that open electrically and create a wide, uninterrupted entry when paired with the pillar-less structure. This setup mirrors the Neolun concept’s design, signaling that Genesis intends to keep more of the show-car flair than expected.

Inside, previous spy shots showed deep-colored leather, extensive adjustment controls, and a clear emphasis on second-row comfort. A lounge-style seating arrangement seems likely, especially for the limo-style model. Outside, the production bodywork matches the brand’s Two Lines design language, with a clean profile that stretches well beyond GV80 proportions.

The electric platform is expected to be the Hyundai Group’s new eM architecture, which supports long-range batteries, dual-motor power, and future performance variants. A quiet ride, air suspension, and upscale amenities are almost guaranteed given the positioning.

A Familiar Move for the Hyundai Group
Offering a limo version isn’t new territory for the Hyundai Group. Kia has done something similar with the Carnival Hi-Limousine, a raised-roof, lounge-equipped variant that essentially turns the MPV into a rolling private suite. Clearly, Hyundai’s showing interest in carving out niche luxury sub-models where it sees opportunity.

If the GV90 follows the same strategy, Genesis could be setting up a flagship that appeals to both traditional luxury vehicle shoppers and buyers who want something closer to a chauffeured experience – or maybe even a hotter version tinged with an orange hue.
