A New Dodge Hellcat Jailbreak Is Here, But It's Not The One You Want
At more than 15 years old, the Dodge Durango is over halfway through a life sentence. But that's not stopping Tim Kuniskis and the SRT team from staging an escape. The (deep breath) 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak is here, and it has a name even longer than its rap sheet.

For the record, there are no powertrain changes. But it does have all kinds of customizations for buyers to enjoy.

Specifically, it has more than six million custom combinations, bringing even more individuality to this supercharged three-row SUV. A few customers, though, will be able to make something truly special. A Dodge Concierge will work with them to paint their Jailbreak Durango in nearly any color imaginable. More on that in a bit.

Unlimited Freedom, If Freedom Is A Handful Of Paint And Wheel Choices
Jailbreak, for SRT, is really an escape from a prison of its own making. Normally, when you order a car, you're restricted in what you can order. Some paint colors can't go with some interior colors, things like that. A Jailbreak Mopar, as we've learned already with the Charger and Challenger models a few years back, removes many restrictions. That doesn't mean the Jailbreak trim is an open book for buyers though. Options are still limited.

For example, with this special Durango, you can pick from six different wheel designs, all 20 inches in diameter. You can pick from one of just six paint color options, which is actually two fewer than the standard Durango Hellcat offers for 2025. At least one of the colors is new, with Green Machine joining Destroyer Gray, Diamond Black, Octane Red, Vapor Gray, and White Knuckle.

Other options include four brake caliper color choices, with red, black, yellow, and orange on the list. Buyers can also specify silver, red, bronze, or black exterior badges with orange or yellow fender badges. Lastly, for outside options, you can pick blue, gunmetal, red, and red with black and silver stripes. Or, opt for an all-black hood.

On the inside, every Durango Jailbreak comes with black Laguna leather and Alcantara if you want a five or seven-seat option. If you want a six-passenger configuration, you can get gray, beige, or red Laguna leather with an ebony red Nappa leather option. For seatbelts, you can pick black, gray, red, and beige.

There will be one unique Jailbreak-exclusive feature, but it's just a badge. SRT will stamp a Jailbreak emblem onto the carbon trim to let passengers know that you picked the SUV's colors, not Dodge.

And for a few special customers, that takes on a whole new meaning. Some will get the Jailbreak Custom Color program, basically a continuation of the program Dodge first offered on the 2023 Challenger SRT Demon 170. Those customers will get to work with a Dodge Concierge to pick their color. Dodge doesn't explain how you can get on the list, but it does say that each of those will truly be a one-of-one build.

How much for all of this customization on a 2026 Durango? Dodge isn't saying yet, even though the order books open August 13. Meanwhile, the 2026 Durango SRT Hellcat will escape to dealers in Q4 of 2025. We can't wait for the configurator to go live to pair-up some absolutely horrific color combos.
